Helen McCue
Helen McCue started her career as a Home Economist in the food industry writing the cooking instructions on the back of food product packaging for all sorts of foods you buy in the supermarket. Then after a six month break to travel the world, she jumped feet first into the crazy world of publishing and took a job working for the Good Housekeeping Institute, testing and reviewing home and kitchen appliances for the magazine and website. Since then, Helen has gone on to review home and kitchen appliances for many other websites including BBC Good Food, Tech Radar, Top Ten Reviews, Homes & Gardens, and Ideal Home.
With one big house renovation under her belt, Helen has just moved into a new home in the Buckinghamshire countryside. She’s looking forward to overcoming the challenges of marrying the old with the new in a property that’s part 17th Century and part 10 years old. It’s going to test her interior design as well as her DIY skills – she’s planning to tile two bathrooms herself. Did we also mention that she completed a diploma in upholstery so there will probably be some bespoke chairs thrown in for good measure?
