As a barista, I'm pretty obsessive about coffee maker deals. There are plenty of meagre discounts throughout the year which promise to save you big bucks. In reality, you don't really save much and end up missing the bigger deal opportunities. However, when Amazon Prime's Big Deal Days roll around, I know we're in for a treat.

Since the beginning of October, I've been keeping a close eye on Amazon. I've looked for our favorite coffee makers, from espresso machines to filter coffee makers, keeping track of the biggest and best discounts. We've got our whole e-Commerce team tracking the best early Prime Day deals to make sure you don't miss a thing.

Some deals started as early as October 8th, and a handful will run until late October, but the very best will only last for 24 hours. Technically, Amazon Prime's Big Deal Days are only running on October 10th and 11th.

I'll be dedicating my days to scrolling through Amazon, making sure that I have a record of the best Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Discounts. If I find an incredible saving that you can make, you I'll let you know here. Watch this space for unmissable coffee maker discounts.

I'm obsessed with this deal. A $400 saving on a machine that's worth every dollar at full price is incredible. The De'Longhi machine is incredibly user-friendly and easy to customize. It can make sixteen different coffees at the touch of a button. This is the luxury coffee experience.

De'Longhi La Specialista Maestro | Was $1,400, now $1,099.95 at Amazon
This is the infamous espresso machine that knocked Breville's Barista Pro from top spot in our buying guide. With the ability to make a range of coffees, including cold brew, this is the espresso machine you need. It has a well considered design and made some of the best coffee I've tasted. My only criticism was the price. Now, with $300 off, there's a lot to love.

If you're brand new to coffee makers or looking for an minimal input maximal output option an automatic, also known as bean-to-cup, machine is what you need. These coffee makers can produce barista-quality coffee at the touch of a button and, thankfully, some of our favorite coffee makers are discounted.

Best single serve coffee maker deals

If an automatic coffee maker sounded like it was a bit too fancy for your coffee tastes, single-serve, sometimes known as pod, machines will suit you perfectly. All you have to do is insert a pod, press a button and you're good to go. These can have some environmental issues,. Nespresso in particular don't accept reusable K-Cups, but there are increasing numbers of places which will accept pods.

Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee and Espresso Machine by De'Longhi | Was $249

Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee and Espresso Machine by De'Longhi | Was $249, now $175 at Amazon
We haven't tested this Nespresso machine, but we have heard very good things about it. Compact and convenient, this can make a range of different coffees. The only downside is that the pods aren't easy to recycle and can be expensive to buy.

Keurig K-Compact| Was $99.99

Keurig K-Compact| Was $99.99 now $49.99 at Amazon
We've tested a couple of Keurigs and loved them. This compact option has 50% off, so if there's a time to get your hands on a compact coffee maker for a reasonable price, it's now.

Best espresso machine deals

Espresso machines are made for people who care about quality coffee,. They're the closest you'll come to becoming a barista. They're much more work than an automatic machine, but you'll taste the difference. It's also really satisfying making such a hands-on cup of coffee.

De'Longhi La Specialista Maestro | Was $1,400

De'Longhi La Specialista Maestro | Was $1,400, now $1,099.95 at Amazon
Another one of my featured favorites, the La Specialista is an incredible espresso machine. It's technically perfect and appeals to both baristas and beginners alike. With $400 off, it's an incredible deal.

Breville Barista Pro | Was $849

Breville Barista Pro | Was $849, now $679.95 at Amazon
This was my favorite espresso machine for a long time. It's incredibly user-friendly and will pull an excellent shot of coffee. Breville machines are also built to last, so this is an excellent investment long-term.

You can find out more in our Breville Barista Pro review.

Breville Barista Express | Was $749

Breville Barista Express | Was $749, now $559.95 at Amazon
One step down from the Barista Pro, this is a less technical, but equally competent espresso machine. It has lots of smart pressure and temperature sensors, ensuring you always make a good cup of coffee.

You can find out more in our Breville Barista Express review.

Casabrews 5700 Pro  | Was $169

Casabrews 5700 Pro  | Was $169, now $479 at Amazon
This might not be the biggest saving in terms of dollars, but the Casabrews is TikTok's favorite espresso machine. I thought it was unbelievable value at full price, so with a 25% reduction, it's almost like they're giving these espresso machines away. It's a little rough around the edges compared to De'Longhi and Breville machines, but you can still make a good coffee, you'll just need more patience.

Other unmissable coffee deals

KitchenAid Cold Brew | Was $139

KitchenAid Cold Brew | Was $139, now $94.99 at Amazon
A $30 saving isn't huge, but on a $140 appliance, that's a considerable discount. This is the most luxurious espresso machine I tested. It's crafted from glass and stainless steel, will make a killer cold brew, and doubles-up as a water or tea infuser too.

You can find out more in our KitchenAid Cold Brew review.

ESPRO P7 French Press | Was $119.95

ESPRO P7 French Press |Was $119.95, now $95.96 at Amazon
This is our favorite French press and it's now reduced by over $20. Perfect for cold brew and normal coffee, it's thoughtfully designed with a two-stage filter and extra tight seal.

Le Creuset French Press| Was $84

Le Creuset French Press| Was $84, now $59 at Amazon
Another saving that you shouldn't underestimate, this French press is excellent quality. It's weighty, premium, and will last you a lifetime. The $25 off isn't massive, but it is just under a third off the price.

Fellow Stagg Gooseneck Kettle| Was $195

Fellow Stagg Gooseneck Kettle| Was $195, now $156 at Amazon
If you like pour-over coffee, you need this kettle. It's temperature variable and has a really precise pour. The design looks stylish and feels premium. I have one in my kitchen and I love it.

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days FAQs

When are the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days?

This year, the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days will be on October 10th-11th. We've seen some discounts from as early as 8th and predict a few outlasting the 11th. However, if lots of the deals won't hang around, so if you see a good one, don't hesitate.

Do you need to be a Prime member for Amazon Prime Big Deal Days?

You need to have a Prime membership for access to the sale. An Amazon Prime membership costs $14.99 a month plus tax.

Should I buy a coffee maker on October's Prime Day or wait for Black Friday?

Some of these Amazon Prime Big Deal Days discounts are unmissable. If you want a coffee maker and you don't want to wait until Black Friday, you won't be disappointed with any of these deals. However, if you can wait for Black Friday, we're expecting some even bigger deals.

Final thoughts

I've tested all of these products, except for the single-serve machines, and I can vouch for each one. I would be ready to buy any of these at full price, so the fact that they're discounted by considerable amounts makes them unmissable. If you'd like to know a little bit more about how we test coffee makers, we have a dedicated page to explain the process.

There were some big names missing from this sale. In July, we saw lots of our favorite drip coffee makers discounted, but none of them have seen any great deals this October. I can't help but wonder if they're saving up for some big deals later on in the year.  If none of these deals are quite what you're looking for, wait for Black Friday deals; we're expecting big things.
