Don't walk, run: the Dyson V15 Detect is $100 off at QVC
Dyson's V15 changed the vacuuming game with its highly advanced technology. The only downside was the price. Now, it's reduced by $100 at QVC
If you walked into a store and asked for a vacuum which is simultaneously the best on the whole market, the best cordless vacuum, and the best Dyson vacuum, the store assistant might give you a strange look. That seems like a lot to ask from one product. It isn’t for the Dyson V15.
Reasonably priced and Dyson tend not to go in the same sentence, but QVC has reduced the price of this vacuum cleaner to a rare $649. Our expert tested this when it was launched in 2021 and more two years later, we're still yet to find a better vacuum.
We've tested a lot of vacuums on the market, so for this to stay at number one is remarkable. We really tried to push the limits of its capabilities and it didn’t really falter. There are, of course, some drawbacks with the V15, but they’re outweighed by the long list of reasons that we love it.
We’ll walk you through the features and things that you might want to know before you invest. However, if you want a quick review: it’s changed the cleaning game.
Dyson launched the V15 in 2021 and we were blown away, with its innovative technology. The story goes that a Dyson engineer noticed that airborne dust particles glistened in the air. The Dyson team of 370 engineers got to work and the V15 was the result. The green laser exposes dust that you can’t even see and the piezo sensor counts how much dust you’ve cleaned up.
We were incredibly skeptical when we first got our hands on this vacuum. A laser just for cleaning a floor seems at best like overkill and at worst like a useless gimmick. However, we were totally converted. It shows up tiny particles that you'd otherwise never see and shows that they've been removed. Coupled with the particle sensor telling you the microns of the dust you're lifting from the floor, this vacuum is incredibly satisfying to use.
Dyson V15 Detect | was $749.98, now $649.98 at QVC
This is the best vacuum you can buy, but we always thought it was top-end price wise. Now that it's reduced by $100 at QVC, we wouldn't blink before buying it.
When we took this for a spin, were really impressed with the technology and suction. Our tester tried it on her dog bed, hard floors, and carpets and was quickly impressed. Not only did it clean an old dog bed, but somehow even restored the color so that it was like new.

But it goes beyond anecdotes. When tested it more scientifically on cereal, rice, and sugar, the automatic adjusting suction power adapted to every surface and type of debris. It was so powerful that it vacuumed up a huge pile of cereal in a single pass, hugely cutting down on the amount of time you need to spend on cleaning.
Of course, this isn't a press release - there's a couple of drawbacks. It can be a little difficult to empty the dust into the trash, as with other Dyson vacuums, it's a little frustrating that you have to hold down the trigger as you vacuum, which can be tricky if you have mobility problems in your hands.
The biggest caveat is the price. A vacuum for nearly $800 is always an eye-watering price tag, but this saving softens the blow a little. Dysons are rarely on sale, and our only complaint with most of their vacuums is the price. When you can save $100, it’s worth moving quickly.
If you’re keen to know more first-person details, you can read our full review of the Dyson V15. Really, all you need to know is that this is the vacuum you need. Whether you geek out on numbers or really like knowing that you’ve done a good clean, this is brilliant.
