Christmas crackers are always fun… what’s not so great? Plastic presents you’ll never, ever use. Well, fear not, because the first-ever Farrow & Ball Christmas crackers are perfect for home decor enthusiasts – and there’s no gaudy gifts in sight.
Not only are the new crackers beautiful on the inside, they’re also super-stylish on the outside, and would make a plush addition to your Christmas tablescape.
Styled after the brand’s popular Yukutori wallpaper pattern in a sumptuous deep navy and gold colourway, they’re finished with a pretty hand-tied ribbon.
As well as the classic gold hat and snap, each cracker contains a surprise sample pot from a selection of 10 shades, plus the secret of what your colour says about you.
Farrow & Ball describes them as a ‘cracking way to bring colour to your festive table this Christmas, or a beautiful stocking filler for your favourite décor lover’, and we couldn’t agree more.
In fact, now that November has kicked off, it’s the perfect time to start planning your Christmas table ideas. Need-to-know name, Alex Head, founder & owner of Social Pantry, has some on-trend table ideas.
Alex likes to ‘go all out at Christmas’, but it’s not necessarily about being extravagant with money.
‘I like to forage for things as much as possible, or re-use elements such as old wooden chopping boards to give height to candles or votives in the centre of the table,’ says Alex. ‘Fruit such as clementines with their stalks or pears look stunning and seasonal. Then I like to add a pop of colour with tall gold candlesticks bearing hot pink candles, from Amazon or Trouva.’
