This is a deal we didn't expect to find thrown in the mix and it's very welcome

If you’ve been looking for a good KitchenAid Stand Mixer deal, then we may have just found you the best one on offer right now. In their Way Day Sale, Wayfair has discounted their classic stand mixer by $90.

As soon as I saw this, I knew it would cause a stir, in more ways than one. KitchenAid makes the best stand mixers on the market and their Classic 4.5 quart Bowl Lift model is one of the very best. Normally, the Classic Series is $329.99, but in the Way Day sales, the KitchenAid Classic Series Stand Mixer has come down to $239.99. That's a serious saving, especially since KitchenAids are rarely discounted around this time of year.

As KitchenAid deals go, this is a good one, and it’s only available for as long as Way Day (or stocks) last, so don’t hang around. Regardless of the size of your order, everything ships for free this Way Day, with the sale event running from May 4th to May 6th.

The Classic Series is one of the best KitchenAids that I've tested. It comes complete with ten speeds and three stainless steel attachments. With these features, you can hand-mix frozen blueberries into a batter or whip up stiff egg whites in seconds. That's all you need to whip up some effortlessly delicious bakes.

As H&G's KitchenAid expert, I put this model through its paces over a year ago. It still sticks in my mind, because it's just so brilliant. One of the most striking features of the KitchenAid (aside from its stylish silhouette) is the build quality. I haven't tested any other stand mixer quite like it.

The body is crafted from stainless steel, as is the bowl and attachments. Whilst this does mean that the whole product weighs a hefty 25 lbs, it also means that this is a really durable appliance. If you want a stand mixer that you'll use for a lifetime, this is it.

The capacity, 4.5 quarts, is the perfect size for a four to six-person household. You'll be able to knead a load of bread or mix some cake batter effortlessly. Performance-wise, the Classic is faultless. I used it to knead bread dough, mix cake batter, and whip cream and didn’t have complaints about any of them. If you need smaller or bigger capacities, I've included some alternative suggestions further down.

Two of the stand-out features of the classic are the neat controls (which make it easy to use, even when your hands are covered in flour and butter) and the tilt head. You can buy bowl lift KitchenAids, where you crank the bowl up to meet the mixer, but the tilt head makes add-ins and general baking much easier, in my opinion.

The icing on the cake is that, of course, the Classic looks beautiful on the countertop. You usually get an array of colors to choose between, but the only catch with this one is that it's available in Onyx Black and White. These are pretty timeless, but if you were looking for a splash of color, you might need to spend a little more money.

If you like to batch bake and think you need some more capacity, it’s also worth checking out the KitchenAid Pro. Conversely, the Mini is great for smaller homes and lighter tasks.
