It's never too late in the summer to invest in good patio furniture, especially when there are so many great deals to make the most of right now. I have actually found, the further into summer you get, the better and bigger the discounts become.
So don't wait until next year you update your patio, there's still all of summer before us to enjoy alfresco dinners and host your friends and family outdoors. I've spotted plenty of my favorite brands are still running unmissable deals – and likely they will continue to run them way into the summer and beyond (we've got Amazon Prime Day and Fourth of July sales coming up soon).
'The end of summer clearance sales may guarantee huge discounts, but if you need new patio furniture now, you will not be disappointed,' advises Lindsey Davis, our Ecommerce Content Director. 'In July, we see a number of sales events that are as good as the deals we see around Labor Day. And waiting out means sacrificing a summer of comfy lounging and outdoor dining.'
'In previous years, we have seen discounts of 50% or more from some of our favourite outdoor furniture retailers in July and August. And you can still keep an eye on your favorite store's clearance section for the last few items of stock on popular ranges.'
Whether you're looking to totally overhaul your patio furniture ideas with a new dining set, or are just after some fun new accent pieces that fit this year's outdoor decorating trends, like retro patio umbrellas, I’ve pulled together the very best outdoor furniture you can shop at a discount right now.

Best patio furniture deals to shop right now
This hammock is a patio-changing piece. Hang this in a shady spot and you'll instantly give your patio a chic, euro-summer, laid-back vibe. The stripes, the scallops, the brown and cream color combo, it nails so many key summer trends in just one piece.
With almost 50% off, I think this is the best patio furniture deal happening at Wayfair right now. You get four stylish Adirondack chairs, making them just $140 each. They are foldable too, so ideal for storing, and made from high-density polyethylene, making them super weather resistant.
There's a huge 62% off this patio furniture set at Target. Included is two chairs, a bench and coffee table all made from acacia wood – a material I always look out for when buying patio furniture. There are some great reviews too.
Another great buy at Target, this couch, coffee table combo has only 5 star reviews, all of which praise the quality and durability. The rattan is very on trend for summer 2025 but the acacia wood frame ensure it's sturdy.
Retro-style sun umbrellas like this one are a huge trend this summer – every stylish patio I save for inspiration for my own outdoor space has one. They can be a very affordable update too, made even more affordable by a deep discount.
Lulu and Georgia have a sale across most of their outdoor furniture right now, so if you like that luxury resort feel to your patio head there now. These dining chairs would look just as good indoors, but they are made from all-weather wicker so perfectly suited for outdoor use.
Wayfair is full of Adirondack chairs, and there are some great prices to be had too. This timeless design has been making a slow and steady comeback over the last few years, and they look so classic on a porch or dotted around a fire pit.
Outdoor furniture that looks like indoor furniture is what I aim for, and I would be very happy with this marble side table in my living room. The exterior is made from solid marble, but despite looking so luxurious, it's an all-weather piece that will happily sit on your patio rain or shine.
I'm snapping up this set of two loungers from Walmart to truly make the most of the early summer sun. Not only can you save $229, but they're such a good buy – made from weather-resistant PE rattan, with six adjustable positions and a cute lumbar pillow for style.
I can't think of a better purchase for the summer than this outdoor bar cart that comes with its own ice bucket compartment for chilled drinks all day long. It is also super weather-proof, easy to assemble, and chic.
Very chic seating to elevate your outdoor bar, or a great look if you have a smaller space and opt for high tables and chairs. And this bar stool might look like rattan, but it's actually a weather-resistant resin that you can leave in your backyard, rain or shine.
Saving you $359, this brilliant 5-piece set is designed with extra-thick padded cushions and is super versatile, thanks to its modular design that allows you to customize the sectional to suit your patio size and style. Everything is fade and sun-protected, with a robust tempered glass tabletop too.
When is the best time to buy patio furniture?
Of course, the best time to buy patio furniture is whenever you're in the market for some new garden patio ideas. Sure, you can get some better deals at better times of the year (as I'll outline below), but if you're sick and tired of your old sets and are looking to invest ahead of summer, don't wait.
But if you're looking to invest in high-quality yet chic patio furniture without paying full price, timing is everything. Based on my personal shopping experience and insider knowledge as a shopping editor, I can confidently say that typically the best time to buy garden furniture is at the end of summer or during the off-season.
This would be from late August through to October, when retailers begin to clear out their inventory to make room for fall and holiday collections. I know that you're probably thinking about making some outdoor upgrades now for spring and early summer, but the deepest discounts usually hit once the season is winding down. So, if you’re flexible with your timeline, you can get high-end looks for a fraction of the cost.
When does patio furniture go on sale?
Naturally, this differs from brand to brand, but typically patio furniture deals start cropping up in early spring and peak during late summer and the fall. You can expect most big retailers to follow a fairly predictable sale calendar, and from my own experience, I've seen great sales starting as early as March or April for some early-bird promotions.
While I can't tell you exactly when to replace your outdoor furniture, as mentioned above, the biggest price drops tend to happen in the off-seasons, so if you're happy to wait this summer out and get ahead for summer 2026, I'd recommend checking out the sales from August onwards.
That said, savvy shoppers will also know that we have some major holiday sale moments coming up, like the much-anticipated Amazon Prime Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
What brands have the best patio furniture deals?
When it comes to finding high-quality garden furniture at a great price, it pays to do your research on which brands offer the best value for money in terms of design and durability. I've learned from personal experience that the best patio furniture isn't often the one with the lowest price.
You want to focus on finding well-constructed, weather-resistant pieces that look good and last multiple seasons. Fortunately, several brands strike that balance perfectly, offering stylish outdoor collections with smart seasonal sales and promotions throughout the year.
We all know that you will find great quality at the likes of Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Crate & Barrel, but some shoppers might prefer keeping an eye on Anthropologie, Serena & Lily, and Lulu and Georgia for more trend-led styles. Target’s Threshold designed w/Studio McGee and Hearth & Hand with Magnolia lines, are excellent for smaller budgets or spaces, often combining designer-approved silhouettes with surprisingly durable finishes – and they regularly go on sale during major seasonal events.
You should also keep an eye out for brand-specific dates, such as the Way Day sale, where you can get some of the best Wayfair outdoor sale finds. And we can't forget Amazon Prime Day too. Additionally, certain retailers frequently offer promotions or bundle discounts, so keep your favorite brand bookmarked to find out when they're having exclusive online sales. And my final top tip is to make sure you're signed up to mailing lists to get early access or info on sale events.
What is the biggest patio furniture sale day of the year?
While patio furniture goes on sale multiple times throughout the year, and sure, Fourth of July and Amazon Prime Day bring solid deals, the biggest sale day for outdoor furniture is typically Labor Day. Falling in early September, it marks the end of summer – and with that, retailers offer some of the steepest discounts of the season to clear out inventory.
It’s when you’ll see premium pieces marked down significantly – sometimes up to 60% off – because brands are clearing space for incoming fall and holiday lines. But I'd also recommend having a look during the Black Friday home deals and the Boxing Day sales too, for any remaining clearance discounts.
Now that you're armed with all the key info and calendar dales to help you find the best patio furniture deals, I'd like to help you avoid any major outdoor furniture mistakes by pointing you toward my best outdoor furniture guide which is our little black book of the very best places to buy stylish pieces and everything you need to know about finding the right materials for your backyard seating, dining, and lounging sets.
